One of my favorite things about turning wood using old wood is that you can take a piece of scrap and turn it into something to treasure. This walnut bowl is a cut off from a previous project. It had some rough areas and had the locust pin but I thought I'd give it a shot today. The result is just cool if I don't say so myself. If you look at the dark side profile without having the locust pin visible it would be easy enough to think it's an original 17th or 18th century piece. The wood in it is certainly that old. These window frames were dovetailed in the corners then had a locust pin driven in to hold them square and tight. Worked pretty well it can be a bear to get these out 200 years later. The bowl is about 5" in diameter and about 1.5" tall. $65 plus shipping from 24426. PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, Venmo for online payments or you can always send me a check or money order.
