I found for a sale locally a smoth bore zaouve "rifle". Its out side apperance is the same as these posted here ...http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/213185/

Other than it only has a small rather crude buck horn rear. Now this one is a used smoth bore, and on the store tag its marked 16 ga, but its a cap lock style. and identical out side to those pics in the other post. and priced at 185.00 usd
And (something something) ...made in italy. Fit and finish appear to be NRA condition "good"

16 ga is 62 cal? IIRC...?

I would be interested in this one if its capable of being actually used, hunted with ect. The smoth bore with PRB's, Should i expect at least 6-8" groups, 50 yard accuracy, and also be able to run shot through it as well?

I have both a rifled flinter and cap gun and am looking for something else. Or should I pass...

Thanks
BST

.62 cal is .20 ga. If it is a .16 ga it would be closer to .66 cal. But it is most likely a .24 ga/.58 cal. If in good condition it is probably worth the asking price. Could the something something in front of Italy be Antonio Zoli?

Hi, I had one off these made by A.Zoli. It was .58 and I soon got it shooting regular 3" groups @ 60yds. It and me could regular shoot rabbits out to 70yds. It was fast too. Very caperble but heavy (probably why it shot so well). I did not try shot much but remember it doing ok on sitting critters like squirl and rabbit. :hatsoff:
