Smoothbore Pistol, Original Antique, German, Cast Engraved, 50 Caliber. Could be German or French. No markings on the barrel or lock. Pistol is functional, but there is a hairline crack in the bridle which should be corrected if you're going to shoot much. Bore actually measures about 0.495" (a 495 lead ball will go down the barrel). Barrel is not perfect, a little frosty, but not pitted. Poured pewter nosecap is recent. Ramrod not original to the pistol. Some shrinkage of the wood, so furniture fit is not perfect at all spots. Some incise and light relief carving on the walnut stock. Some dents and dings from being almost 200 years old and being used. $1000 plus $35 to ship and insure.
