Starting another build and I need a lock. Going for a 1700’s Scottish style Herron butt in .62 and was looking for a lock closer to period correct. Don’t really see them with the more “modern” looking flintlocks because the Brit’s disarmed them around that time(at least that’s why I figure you don’t). See lots with snaphaunce locks which I’d prefer but also doglocks. I know the rifle shoppe sells both but I’m not paying $400 to wait six months for a lock. Anyone have any they’re willing to part with or know a place selling them? Thanks!

Leonard Days sons that run the company now have an early English lock you might get modified to snaphaunce with a little work. Might work on your project.
