Found a book at the store I goto for musket supplies and general manly things entitled Make Muzzle Loading Accessories. Has some pretty interesting drawn out plans for different accessories like powder horns, capers, different tools, loading blocks etc. Someone has found their spring/summer projects! I think I might start selling some of these online once I get good at making them. Just need to pick up the tools. Unfortunetly when I was deployed most of my tools went missing when my ex wife trashed the house and let people I didn't know into the house....sucks but at least I'm done with her!

So anyone got a suggestion for a first project? I was thinking a nice powder horn set would work...one priming horn and another main horn. I also want to make some frizzen covers...so maybe that's where I'll start.

First project? Start simple. Loading block. They can be eorks of art if you take ur time and add detail.

Thanks for your service.

Powder horns can be very simple as well...or very leaborate, dependant on the makers tastes! head over to the hornersbench if you have any questions about them! another book I would recommend would be the Sibley's Book Recreating the 18th Century Powder Horn. Very informative. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!! :hatsoff:
