ok i have a really short canoe gun more like a "youth or ladies trade gun" built for my son when he was born. fast forward 8 years absolutely no interest in muzzleloaders. BEAUTIFUL gun way to short for me however. .62 cal L&R lock i believe sparks GREAT ,24 inch oct to round barrel, 11 1/2 lop, direct drill. OAL-37. i so wish this would fit me! asking $1100 shipped or trade for a nice .32 other option i would was contemplating is finding someone who would re-stock it using the components to make a canoe gun that will fit me if someone wants a winter project???

So to comply with ad rules, there needs to be a photo of the piece with a card or piece of paper adjacent to it showing your screen name and the date of the photograph. Thanks.

Nice gun. I'd give your son 2-3 more years before deciding to sell. 8 is on the younger side for kids today, probably more so for a 20-ga flintlock. I sat on a youth size flint gun until my kid is almost 12...

Let's explore this - what's your preferred LOP?

[I may forget to make my way back to this thread, so here's what I'm thinking - it would be entirely period appropriate to have a leather recoil pad sewn up, with a thick felt buttpad, that would take up the difference between 11.5" and whatever your current shirtsleeve length be now].

That's not a bad idea. I've held this gun and other than Length of pull, it's a nice short and light gun.
