.. I made. I had some issues to post but I am using now Photobucket and looks like it works. First one I made for a dear friend living there in the North West, the second one is made out from Italian leather and a heavy cotton cloth.

Thanks all for the warm welcome! @Doubledeuce1: it's just the picture but the bag is a brown leather. Here some other picture and detail

Thanks, you all are really too kind, I simply like to make stuff. Colmoultrie: for this last bag but also for the angels on the first one I simply draw the subject on paper, cut it and then I apply it to the leather with a drop of glue before to cut. I draw one angel as well one only leaf. I apply the pattern one time, saying, on the left, I cut and then I tilt it to the right and repeat. This way I can get some symmetry on the bag.

A lot of fine leather work on that first bag. Almost a shame to use it - I think I'd just hang it on the wall as a display. The second bag is pure function and is begging to go hunting -- very nice workmanship :hatsoff: .

Rug: strange to say but the first bag is way rugged than the second one! It's a leather coated with a special paint by the tannery and for this it's almost waterproof. Another one made time ago. More on the Indian side.

Welcome aboard!

The use of multiple small buckles and straps reminds me of 16th/17th century sword suspension straps to hold sword scabbards. Did you draw on that for inspiration for your four suspension straps and buckles?

Am I mistaken that this pouch would be called a "Game Pouch" with the ties on the top front of the bag and some other details?

Gus

Hi Gus and thanks. I'm honest, I didn't think to the option you say. The way I made this strap simply came to me looking to another bag. But It's highly possible the original maker took the idea from what you suggest. And yes, bags like thid are also called game bag and in some cases german bags too. I have pictures of some originals ones (from European auctions)
