Here are two mugs I made from an elm limb with antler handles from the buck that was eating my apples.

I haven't sold any yet and don't plan on. I only use real horn and my supply of horn is limited to what I get hunting. This is not a place to advertise items for sale as I have been informed in the past. The simple fact is it takes about five hours to make the mugs and antler being limited if I did try to sell them I doubt anyone would pay what I would charge. These are just for myself and the grandson.

Excellent creative craftsmanship! :hatsoff:

How did you attach the antler handles to the elm cups?

p.s. No more apples for that buck that was taking yours. Have watched deer eating apples off a neighbors neglected apple tree. They stand on their hind legs to reach the high ones.

Apple cider and venison steak and a chat with grandpa...priceless! :hatsoff:

The handles are fastened on by cutting a drywall screw with a dremmel cutoff wheel and drilling a flat bottomed hole in the base. The screw is then put into the horn and the horn screwed into the base of the mug. High strength epoxy is used to fill any gaps between the cup and horn and at the top to prevent the handle from turning.

My dog is an Aussie and she won't even fetch a ball! My neighbor has his lab trained to find sheds but he keeps them for his own use. And his dog does a good job of keeping the area around here picked up. :idunno:
