Having had some spare time and some scraps laying around I found my self wanting to do some crafting.
Asking my two boys what they would like, I ended up making two neck pouches for them.
Never did any beadwork but always found it interesting to learn new stuff - so some beads were put on to help the boys knowing the pouches apart.

Thanks for looking

Beadwork is an art alone, I prefer to use what's called ladder beading. Much stronger than a typical single run of stitched beading. However, all beading is fragile! I was taught that method by my grandmother a few years ago, been used in the family for hundreds of years I say!

When you grasp beading, try quilling, a completely different animal!

Yes, I understand that from what I have looked up and read, truly an art. And I certainly know there are miles to go, but you got to start somewhere. Strangely I find, it soothes my mind fiddeling around with those tiny beeds and the soft leather in hand.

If you have good reads and pictures for me please share, as I mentioned - learning new things is always nice.

Thank you

I agree, keeps my mind focused on one thing, blocks out lifes little worries for an afternoon or evening.
