Anybody got any idea what copies of this book are selling for today? Where would one go to get a copy?
I've read it and consider it an excellent book. It's more important as a reference book, to me. It has a very long section of the chronology of events in the early history of the frontier which is extremely good, and the appendices are equally as interesting. There are invoices of goods shipped down the Ohio, records of purchases made by the hunters in the area of Kaskaskia, IL, right after the F&I war, etc., etc. which I've spent hours poring over and learned a lot from.jbg said:Does anyone here ever read it, or know anyone who has? At this stage in my life, I don't like to spend money on something unless I have a reasonable idea of it's worth.
