I make my lube with beeswax and olive oil in about a 60:40 ratio of oil to wax.

one i have used in the past, on the range only, is the spit patch. You make it by cutting a patch of the desired size, and tucking it in your cheek til your next shot. Extensive experience (one mistake) has taught me not to do this with a previously lubed patch as the taste leaves something to be desired. Works fine for on range use, but can cause rust in a hunting situation. I still use this when i run out of lubed patches or the lube itself, but much prefer Stumpy's recipes instead and have learned to keep a good supply on hand.
