Here is another southern style horn that I just finished.

15in. AC from tip to hollowed baseplug of Elm
Antler applied tip, everything pinned with wood
Hand forged staple.
Dyed with Rit berries, yellow and wine on the horn and wine and brown on the rings

I am starting to really enjoy making rings for some reason.

Ron - WOW! What a piece of art! You are truely a craftsman and I sure enjoy looking at your work.

Thanks JWC. It always surprises me when one turns out like this one did. If you start with the right type of horn the whole thing just seems to come together in spite of you.

Please excuse my ignorance.

What are the rings made of?

Foster From Flint

Thanks for all the comments folks.

Foster, the rings are turned from a seperate piece of horn and then applied with , in this case , wooden pegs.
