Selling a springfield model 1842 with lock date of 1850) it has all SF parts. How ever someone at some point cut it down to make a shotgun. they cut the stock down along with some of the barrel. I picked up an uncut 1842 over thanksgiving weekend. So this one can go

Just wondering... as long as some damage has already been done, and i know it wouldn’t be period correct (any period) could that be turned into a blanket gun? As long as there’s enough forestock left. I’m pretty sure Bambi and Mr. Turkey would be ambivalent on the issue.
 
I know it's been a while, but this wouldn't happen to still be available, would it?
