is that american chestnut? is it recent harvest or pre-blight vintage/repurposed lumber? are those marks in the stock is that the "wormy" insect holes I just read about? what is the ramrod made from? almost looks like steel in the photos.

That is wormy chestnut made from a 150+ yr old beam taken out of a old building in Virginia. Ramrod is Hickory( ya can't beat a good hickory ramrod.)

have you shot it? if so,can you send or post photos close up on the lock and touch hole? to show any rust or discoloration and also the alignment of the hole to the pan. is it a hole or does it have a liner?
if you have shot it, what load have you found works good in it?
brass that shiny I'm guessing its never been shot?

what make is the barrel? twist rate?

how is the steel finished, can't really tell from the photos if its browned or blued.

does a 13.5" LOP make it a "boys" rifle? or can a normal human shoot it (I should go measure the LOP on my other guns

thanks

Twist- 1:48 , Make - no name on barrel
LOP is actually 13 1/4" just measured again... Fits me nice. I'm 5'10"
Its Browned.
I've only test fired it.... but it shot nice group with 20 gr. 2f
Really throws sparks.
