Are they worth the cost? I have changed one revolver to ampco bronze with good results, but stainless sounds like a good alternative as well. Does the longevity justify the cost? Thanks for your opinion!

In theory, the bronze TRESO nipples should resist corrosion and burn-out better than stainless. But I'm not aware of any life testing between TRESO and stainless. Maybe someone on the Forum has done this.

I suspect the difference in usefull life occurs after thousands of shots, so be your own judge. The TRESO versions are distracting when first installed, but after a few firings they turn grey just like stainless.

I have always used Ampco (Treso) with excelent results and long life. I would be very leary of any stainless nipples offered by an Italian manufacturer. I have a set of 6 Pieta stainless nipples in a blister pack that I got years back in the Bargin Cave at Cabella's for a couple of bucks. They are of poor quality, flash holes drilled off center and wouldn't be any better than the nipples that came with the gun.

Cabela's Bargain Bin is exactly where I saw them. I gues, as you found out, there's a reason that they are on sale. Thanks for the replies Gents!
