Stamps on barrel

I have just acquired a c.1850 continental (French) pistol and have discovered these marks stamped on the underside of the barrel.
The lower one is Maubeuge, the French arsenal, but I cannot quite make out the top one.
It looks like DOMPPLT, which seems unlikely. An internet turns up nothing.
Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas?

It's an idea, but the stamp is right up by the breech under the barrel and hidden by the stock when the barrel is in place.
So unlikely, I think.
