Hello All,

I am working on a 28 Gage percussion
shotgun. I was told it is called a Monkey gun? It is missing the patch box, and this may or may not be my fault, but that is another story.

the hole in the stock is about 2 1/2 in long and 1 3/8 in wide. Please see the picture.

I am OK with something bigger as long as it it steel, I can consider doing the in-letting.

Thanks,
Nick

Yours looks like the Spanish version of the African, South America Trade shotgun "Monkey Gun" from the 60's. I've seen a few Belgian made also. The attached photo shows two of the Spanish a 28 ga and an 10mm. Your patch box looks like the one on my 10mm. I have seen parts for these guys at gun shows and occasionally on evilbay but its going to be a luck of the draw and patience thing if you want an original. Any oversize patch box will work if you decide on that route.

Thanks;
O.R
