Well a few years back I had a couple serious medical scares and ended up in the ICU a couple times. Almost lost my left leg due to blood clotting. They were able to bypass the issue and save my leg, so there is a blessing there. I take blood thinners and will for life. Seems I have a rare gene that makes my blood super thick and fast clotting. Always noticed I didn't seem to bleed as much as others. (well did....I bleed like a hemophiliac now)

We moved to a much nicer home out in the country. Just not as country as the old place. The open opportunity at limitless hunting is no longer available to me. I do have a couple of spots close by to the house I scouted out where I can legally hunt. (just far enough from occupied places with a secure line of fire that has plenty of trees to backstop a pass through)
But getting up the gumption to hunt has escaped me the last couple years.
I did hunt 3 years ago and got a small doe. She was very tasty.

We got a ton of quail around here. If I liked quail I would fill my bag daily, easy. I have seen some pheasant on occasion but they are at the bottom of the bluff and it is a long walk for my old legs.

Haven't gotten any new smoke poles or hand cannons in a number of years. With limited shooting opportunity I just don't shoot much any more. Not like my shoulder can take it now. I have about 5-10 shots in me and then I am whooped for a week. So if I am going to shoot it is going to be at game only. Youth is wasted on the young.

Hey fellas, been a long time. :)

I moved to a new home. Still out in the country, but not as country as I was.
My days of stepping out the back door into the wilds and ready to hunt are gone.

Been a busy few years since I last came here.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I had wondered about no posts. Glad to see you back!

White tail and I got a small doe that year. My favorite target to be honest. Just don't like buck meat, but doe and fawn are damn good eatin

Washington State. Moved out of Stevens county to Spokane county. Not happy about that one but I had to make concessions with Sevan. Much closer to where Sev' works so there is all that. Spokane county has a lot more laws and rules than Stevens county when it comes to hunting.

Yep. I remember now. Glad to have you back.

Welcome back I've missed seeing your posts it's great to hear that you're doing well, I wondered what became of you. Maybe you could try shooting from the other shoulder, I don't know if that would work for you. I think I remember that you had a cap'n'ball revolver at one time and maybe you could try that again. Anyway I hope you can work something out.

I got revolvers, single shot pistols, derringers, hunting rifles and a smoothbore.
I can handle the pistols ok they don't hurt me much, but I was never a good shot with them. More of a point blank weapon for me.
Long guns I am a decent shot. Would never win anything off the blanket at the rendezvous, but I can put meat in the freezer.
