My "in the white" Kibler Colonial rifle was due before Christmas, but I'm still twiddling my thumbs waiting for it. I'm about to shoot my third match tomorrow with my old percussion rifle, when I thought I'd be using the flinter eons ago. Katherine says their shop was hit with covid, which has pushed everything back. Understandable.

I'm not really complaining, as I know the gun will be worth the wait. I'm just anxious to get my hands on it and begin the long learning curve to master the flintlock art. :ghostly:

Wouldn't get too anxious. I've been waiting over nine months for an in the white SMR.

My first flinter had a terrible lag in ignition. Enough that I got rid of it and wondered why anyone would shoot one.

My third one is truly very fast and not much lag time at all. Fast enough that shooting it is not an issue.

Good luck

I'm in same boat as you, well different boat but same water.... I ordered an English Fowler from Chambers in early September, still waiting as well. Was going to be my winter project, but will likely be next years winter project. I have enough things to keep me busy in nice weather months.
