Well heres something i dont think anyone has ever thought of asking. How much strain/stress is put upon the arm holding the revolver, when you ram a ball?

And for those of you who choose to keep a loaded percussion revolver or pistol about the house, how do you store it? Do you go politically correct and store it in an armor plated gunsafe you put under the 800 pound couch? Or do you just keep it in the comparment in a flip-top lidded end table?

Never thought about #1.

I don't keep loaded muzzleloaders around the house, but if I did I wouln't do anything different than what I do with my cartridge guns. How to secure any loaded firearm is quite an issue and will inflame emotions on all sides. I keep one out (not in the safe) but I lock it up when I leave the house. When I am home it is out of the box, unlocked, ready to go. I have done this since my kids were old emough to know that they must not touch it.
