Does anyone know of a supplier that makes swan drop or goose drop moulds in gang style?
Also interested in a gang mold for smaller shot.

I haven't seen any gang molds for small shot just double cavity for some of the smaller balls, if you are looking for the shot with the tail there would not likely be a mold for that stuff but some one may have or make a round mold for real Swan, Goose or other shot down to whatever the practical linite is in size.

I bought a small gang mold at the Rocky Mtn. Western rendy a few years ago. It casts 1 - .600 RB, 4 - #4 buckshot, and 6 - # 6 shot(?). The maker is "Cannon Mike" from Washington State; maybe some of the guys from that area know him and would post his info. I also have a frizzen spring vise (VERY handy) and a swivel gun made by him.

Mike Lea makes them, you can find his ad on the first page of Muzzle Blasts. I have one that he made out of soapstone. It throws about 15 swan shot at a time. The interesting thing about a soap stone mold is that it throws perfect shot the first time, no heating.

Sorry. Guess I should have clarified.
I am looking for swan or goose drop molds as they are referred to in history. These are round, molded shot and not the longtailed things of the Mark Baker movies. Swan drops were about the size of #3 buckshot and goose drops were about the size of #2 buckshot. "Musket grape Shot" was about he size of #1 buck. The sportsmen had gang molds that produced 6-8 of the same size shot. They also had large molds for smaller shot.
Thought maybe some persons involved in producing the button molds, etc. might be making these. Just wondered if anyone produced such an animal.

I have made molds for round ball out of Catlinite. I cut a piece of stone in half with a hacksaw. Then I cut the mold with a Dremel tool. The mold wasn't perfectly round but it worked. If you can get a cherry of the right size, it shouldn't be too much work to make the mold. Soapstone should work just as well as the Catlinite.

I did find an email address for "Cannon Mike"; [email protected] . Give him a holler and I'll bet he can make what you want; I hope the address still works. My gang mold is very much like what you want with the exception of the single .600 RB on one end. The mold is double sided; pour one size, turn it over and pour the other size..
