It's so simple even I can do it...but that's not the issue. :haha:

If I want to install a shorter barrel on my Pietta 1860 Army, are there any safety concerns to check for such as cylinder gap etc?

Instead of hacking the barrel I have, I was thinking of getting a shorter one so I could use whichever fit my mood that session.

Thanks! :hatsoff:

I have done this with one of my revolvers. Safety issues should not arise but fit might be an issue but I doubt it. The only thing I had to do was file the wedge to get it to fit right.

Thanks, that's what I suspected. I just didn't want to be typing any messages one handed for any odd reason though... :haha:

I have a 3" and the factory 8" that I have switched back and forth all the time just check the timing on the new barrel the first time you install it.
