i used to be able to get Rusk that was made in sweden. I do not mean the "bread baked till its crispy" or the baby food made by farleys. I mean the real rusk hardtack, the nice whole grain stuff, that comes in a blue plastic wrapper, about a 1/4 thick slices, super hard heavy duty, and dusted in flower.
Cant find it anywhere online, so i am kinda poed right now as i have a craving for it.

In a quick google for "rusk bread" I came up with the following link that had a recipe for sweedish rusk. Looks fairly simple and you could use any type of bread that suits your fancy.

There are many other food sites that may have recipes as well. Hope this helps.

Turns out the store calls it Rusk. In actuality im looking for "Naaklbroed" meaning crisp bread or rye crisps. Basically the swedish rye flour based hardtack.
Companies over in Scandinavia are Wasa, Finn, Siljan. Find it onine fine, but not anywhere within 30 mles sadly.

Bezoar,
I don't know where you are located. It just so happens we have a friend originally from Sweden staying with us.
She says the rye rusk is available at Ikea stores. Don't know if there are any around you.
