I have found that as I get older, I seem to think myself into more trouble than out of, especially hunting! Congrats and we all learn sooner or later that anything ML related is a "do over until" endeavor.I have resorted to keeping as detailed notes per gun as possible to recall similar things I have 'done' in the past to get to the point a specific gun is at 'today' and usually futz about with the "Wa da fa???" isms until I read the damn notes!
