I am looking for a retail outlet for Swiss Black Powder near my Greenville, Pennsylvania location. The zip here is 16125 and it's northern Mercer County; the eastern border of Ohio is close by. Can anyone recommend a location. I only want a couple of cans to try this fall to see if I like it better.

Call the U.S. Distributor. @ 1-866-809-9704

Here is their web-site link

I currently use Goex 2f in my TC PA Hunters and I like it and will continue to use it for range work and casual shooting. The reason I want to try some is that I have heard and read that it produces about 200 fps. more velocity on a 100 grain charge.

I am feeling a little sinful; but since I have been asked. I have an RMC flintlock with a GM 1:28 twist barrel. Shooting the Goex gives it about 1500 fps. on a 100 grain charge and a 300 grain saboted pistol bullet. The Swiss would give me around 1700 and would be a big boost in energy at the 100-125 yard whitetail. I am a flinter shooter and don't care for caplocks and we are not permitted to use them in the 3 week long after Christmas whitetail season I am so fond of in Pennsylvania,so subs are out. It's for a little more "thump" as some like to put it. The additional velocity and possibly accuracy is the reason I want to try it out. At an extra dime a shot 200 fps. seems like a good thing for a hunting rifle. Ah! I feel better now.

I have plans for a .58 GM roundballer eventually and might like it in that as well. I want to try some of this Null-B pan powder as well.

There is no question I like Swiss. But, you may be able to accomplish what you are looking for by one of two other ways. Up your Goex 2F charge by about 20gr. or switch over to 3F. Now, you will need to spend some bench time to see if it will work with your gun or not. Each to their own, but IMHO, you have enough FPS now. I want decent FPS with accuracy. Well placed shots will trump fast, poorly placed shots, every time.

My current load as stated worked very well last year but I would like to try the Swiss out and see if it's an improvement. It's a switch barrel gun and the longer barrel will get sighted to a heavy dose of Swiss and a 300 grain Gold dot or XTP. I took a deer at 70 yards and it folded up like a suitcase; it really hammered it. I don't like to mention this type of set-up on this site. What I really want is a .58 GM roundball gun but can't seem to find the right components as of yet.
