You might ask forum member Tallpine. He has made very creditable knives for me and a couple were large. He does like a challenge and is a prodigious researcher. Couldn't hurt to ask him.

Messer type or shamshir, but I am open to any that are presented.

The closest I have to those is a custom-made basket hilt straight saber made by a master swordmaker. It's a really well-made sword, however, I don't have a scabbard for it.

I'd love to see some photos, if you can dm me that'd be awesome, I have a couple of flintlocks and 3 bp revolvers, I can also throw some cash down if need be, if everything go right!
