I just purchased a 16 gauge sxs shotgun made in Germany. The barrels are marked 16/70. What does the 70 mean? Does this tell you the choke?

I would guess it's the powder charge. :hmm:
Sorta like 30/30 or 45/70 etc.
Just guessin' tho.

Hi there,

Being from Europe I can answer that:
70 stands for 70 millimeters, which roughly translate to 2 3/4 like Jim W said.

So you have a 16 Gauge with 2 3/4 chambers.

Regards,
Manny
