t/c new englander

Sorry to ask, i'm sure it's come up before, but a friend wants to know. What size ball for a 12ga. t/c new englander barrel?

I use a .690 in my .12 ga. It works good for me. I use an over powder wad and a fiber cushion wad then the patched rd ball.

Any ideas for patch and load?

In my double barel i use 100 gr of RS, an over powder wad and fiber cushion wad that i glue together before lubing the cushion wad, the the .690 rd ball in a lubed pillow ticking patch. My double barrel will put 4 shots(2 from each barrel) into just over an inch group with that load.

I'd try 90 grains of 3F Goex and a pillow ticking or linen patch that fits snug. Olive oil is an excellent lube.

I use 3F in everything...it works great!
