Just saw this. Supposed to slip over the end of a bare ramrod to help spare your palm while loading a tight bullet. (I assume it's mainly for one of those that shall not be named T/C's.) It also says you can store up to four shotgun primers. Now, I don't know just how sensitive primers are as compared to percussion caps, but the warnings I have read concerning primer handling while reloading seem to suggest that wrapping your hand around four of them is not too good an idea. Anyway, here is the wonderment:

BTW, I was fixin' to post a picture from photbucket but I guess the bucket done went to the well one too many times. That function still available?

T/C sent me one of these thingies when I sent them my second broken T/C folding ramrod handle (unfolds into the letter "T" to make your ramrod into sort of a PowerRod). I guess they discontinued them, so they substituted one of those rubber things. I do find it works well over the end of the ramrod when using tight patches. BUT... I have a wooden cabinet knob that screws onto the end of my T/C ramrod that works even better, so the new thingie has found its way into the bottom of my cluttered shooting box.
BTW, I wouldn't be concerned about pressure on the primers, as it takes a pretty good direct hit to set them off. In fact, you occasionally use a fair amount of pressure to seat primers on a reloading press.

Just to see if PhotoBucket was working OK now, I uploaded the image:

Got to love the advertising title: AUTHENTIC ACCESSORIES!

I think I had one of these on a '57 Chevy floor shifter!

If it fit a '57 Chev then its a CLASSIC!

But if it's a floor shifter and a car not a truck then it's a hot rod. :surrender:

Well, if it was made from antler or cow horn, then the "authentic" angle would be a bit more PC. Oh, and the rod would have to be wood too and the metal stuff would be flint. Now, that's "Authentic"!! :rotf:
