I was given a box of muzzleloader goodies today, cva lock, t.c. breech plug wrenches, allso 2 trigger assemblies for which I believe are for a T.C. Patriot, pulling the front trigger will set it and pull the rear trigger to fire. Are these of any value? flinch

Upon further investigation, looks like there are 2 locks, minus the hammer for a Patriot, and what I am guessing a patent breech for a patriot. chuck

That trigger configuration is how the Patriots were set up for sure.

Note...be aware that the lock assemblies are the same / interchangeable on the Seneca and Cherokee muzzleloader rifles, as well as the Patriot pistol.

There are no spare parts for the Seneca or Cherokee other than what's on the used market, so yes, any lock parts would have quite a fair amount of value...checking the gun auctions would give you an idea.

If you get a price contact me. I may know some one who would be interested in the parts.

Wow, I got on e-bay and saw a tang, just the tang alone, had a price of 28.00,(6bids) I have 1 tang, and 1 tang and plug in the box allso. Still have not decided on what I am going to do with all this stuff. I compare the tangs and plug with a t.c. cherokee I have, and am sure the plug and tangs are for this gun, did not know the patriot pistol used the same. Looks like the patent breech plug and tangs are for a 13/16" barrel, I thought they were 7/8". So, I have 1 plug and tang, (as cast) 1 tang, (as cast) 2 nipples that fit the plug, 2 trigger assemblies, 2 locks, minus the hammers.Any idea of what I should ask for this stuff? chuck

Even just the nipples are worth a fair chunk of change. I watched the auctions for months and only seen one or two go by and they were bid on quite heavily. Patriot parts are very hard to find. Any parts from before T/Cs factory fire are worth a big premium. Spend a little time on Ebay checking out completed auctions and see if you can find prices for some of your parts. That'll be the best way to get an idea of their value.

As someone once said, "There's one born every minute."

high ho flinch,

enjoy your breach plug wrenches. just don't use them on the newer tc's. those plugs don't come out like the old ones did..

..ttfn..grampa..

I e-mailed Track of the Wolf to see if maybe I could trade this stuff for more usefull things, like flints, will keep the breech plug wrenches and some other things for prizes at our shoots. I doubt any of us will ever get around to making a pistol. I thought about putting this on e-bay, but decided not to go through the hassle, thanks for the replys, flinch
