Hi guys, been a while since I've been here.
Today I went to see an old guy I've known for years about a gun he had for sale. ( 6.5x55 Sweede).
While I was there I saw a T/C percussion in .45 cal.
No model name on it, but it had double set triggers and a hood over front sight. I think it was unfired.
Anybody know what I was looking at and it's value? Sorry but I don't have a picture.
I feel sorry for the old boy, he had about 10 or 12 old guns he has sold. One was a lever action shotgun that I think was a Winchester, said he got $400 or so for it and years back when I first saw it I came home and looked it up and I think then it's value was $1200.
Thanks for any help.

If it said Thompson Center on it, it was a TC Patriot pistol.

If it didn't say Thompson Center on it, it was a Spanish knock off of the Patriot.

The TC Patriot set triggers are reversed from the normal way rifles triggers are used.
The front trigger "sets" them and the rear trigger fires the gun.

These pistols are quite popular and can range in price from $200 to $350 depending on their condition.

The one weakness is the stock which can be broken if heavy loads are fired or a lack of caution is used when loading them by using the grip to support the gun while starting the patched ball.

Because the pistol has adjustable sights and the grip is considered by some to be a "saw handle", some shooting matches won't allow them to be used.

Why not Google "T/C pistol" images and find a photo of it? Then we can tell you what it is, if it doesn't already say when you find it.
