recently I purchased a t/c .45 flintlock hawken rifle. I would like to repalce the adjustable rear sight with a primitive one. at one time there was a replacement one offered that screwed into the existing rear sight screw holes. does anyone know where I can locate one?

Living in Ohio I have become a Log Cabin fan. They are a T/C repair center and if they do not have it, then not many people do. I just put a traditional front and rear site on my CVA hawken that I got from them. It is similar to my T/C hawken sites so it should work, but give them a call. Here is the info for them : PO Box 275

thanks a lot He-Bear. I'll check out Log Cabin and see what they offer. :RO:

I've seen several TC's with a raer dovetail cut in and a standard primitive rear and front sight added, not a major task and they look good.

In their catalog previous to the one that just came out, Track of the Wolf had the sight you're looking for. Go to their website. If you don't see it listed, then give Dave at TOW a call. He should be able to fix you up with it.
Good luck.
