A few Renegades had a small sight that had about 5/8ths inch hole spacing. Most have the standard spacing that’s about 7/8ths inch. Early Hawkens had holes spaced about 1 & 1/8th.

White Mountains and Penn Hunters mostly had the Renegade spacing but some probably also had the Hawken spacing.

Probably a couple other spacings on some other models.

bubba 50, thanks for the explanation.

The drop on the stock comb is pretty high with the original sight. Installing a lower sight may not work for some people. Reworking the but stock to a lower an more traditional shape will help. It will also look more traditional, the original shape is modern.

Don't know. I think those folks in Pagosa Springs shut down a long while back.

Oh! was that a House of Muskets product?

I was just trying to look them up a couple days ago but there web presence is no longer there.

The make/made the Treso products and they seem to be still around.

Don't know if they made the sights, but that is where I got 'em from.
When I say that I think they shut down, seems to me that the last time I spoke with them (it's been a long time) perhaps they were stopping the retail end of business... not exactly sure, but there was something like that.

This was my solution, not sure is going to put a finish on it or leave it

Looks to me like a rear sight made for a 1" dove tail slot with a hole drilled for the screw and mounted on top of the barrel instead of in a dove tail slot.
