Started working my replacement stock from Track of the Woods for my T/C Hawken. Everything went ok, now are you ready for the BUT? Here it is, I inlayed the tang, got it to fit good and then hooked my barrel in. When I hook the barrel into the tang and lay the barrel down, the end of tang closes to the butt lifts up out of the stock about an inch. How can I fix this.

You really need to inlay the tang and barrel as one piece. To do this you need to fuse the two together, either by soft soldering, or by using epoxy, glue the two together. After you have a good inlet, then you release the two pieces by heating them, and remove the glue/solder. Before you do that though, loosen your tang screw some to see that you haven't over tightened it. You may have inlet the tang to deep or at an angle. Good luck Bill
