Absolutely...and with a whole new set of furniture installed as well

I sent TC a flint lock, lock plate with only the cock and frizzen on it and a note that I had been given the lock plate and had not purchased it from them. I ask them to replace the other parts and send me a bill so that I could make payment before they shipped the lock back to me. The lock was shipped back with a invoice- NO CHARGE Factory warrenty repair-.

You know, something that would be good for all of us to do, those who use TC warranty/service, is to tell them how much we do appreciate it...we tell each other, but they really need to get that feedback, not just us.

I'm sending them a thank you memo, and at the same time will encourage them to hold the line on their last traditional model, the Hawken...they've dropped every other sidlock ML they ever made and are now down to just the Hawken.

With CVA's line discontinued, and Austin-Haleck recently going out of business...TC is needed more than ever to help keep the tradition alive, etc...we need to let them know we're out here...let's take a few minutes start a letter writing campaign to TC showing our appreciation...might help keep them thinking about hanging on to their traditional line

Lets hope they keep the Hawken in their product line I for one think they are a great muzzleloader

 Excellent suggestion roundball.

I've dealt with TC direct A LOT since I got my first Contender in 1969 and first Hawken fairly soon after. Something like 40+ Contender/Encore frames, over 200 barrels and near a dozen muzzle loaders later I can still say that they have always given me fast and total service with a smile. And a few of the long term employees became friends (happy for him, but really hate to see Tim P. retired). Can't begin to count how many times they've helped me out in a pinch for a match or hunt, sent me free spare parts or taken the time to discuss "issues or suggestions" about their products either on the phone or at the SHOT Shows. By far one of the best companies out there to deal with. Still offering quality made products for the dollar spent, it would be a LARGE loss to muzzle loading if they got out of the traditional market.
Count me in +++++ on your idea roundball. :hatsoff:

roundball -

Just finished a nice Christmas letter to TC while it was fresh on my mind. Like most of us, if I don't do it right then it gets put off and maybe forgotten later.

Pass it on folks... do it now.

I will send them a letter of appreciation hope they will take care of the Renegade for me

I also have used the T/C service department on several occasions. They have always come through, sent parts, or made repairs, always N/C ! I am sending the service department a Christmas card, with a note of thanks. Good suggestion, roundball !

Most likely they will fix it if the crack was cause by normal use but one thing to consider is if that is an older Renegade the wood may be of a higher quality than what the replacement may be. If it is the fancey walnut they use to use that is better wood than the modern suppier they have now.

Do you have a pic of the rifle and the stock damage?

No sorry I dont have any pics of it,the wood was semi fancy I guess,as long as its dark grain is all that matters to me
