Good for you...now you know, next year he needs to be behind the stock...he'll be wanting to all year long waiting for hunting season to come again...plenty of time to get him proficient and safety conscious at the range

There is nothing better than taking a youngster hunting! :redthumb:

Congratulations on making meat with a PRB...It's the only way to fly IMO.

I congratulate you and your son for a great time together, like RB said he will be dreaming about next years hunting season to come.
I myself am dreaming of when I can take my grandson hunting and I'm building two .32 cal flintlock for him and me now and he will be 1 yr old friday.
Lot of dreamin I have ahead..but then again I hope to have him shooting way before he is old enough to hunt.
Teaching a youngster the saftey aspect and the fun of it is fullfilling in it's self.

Thank you all fellers. My youngen was his first time.He did good though, sat quitetly an no fast moves.I think he was dazzeled by the huge cloud of smoke more en any thing, wasnt much of any wind in the river bottom and it just hung around drifting very slowly away.Gotta love that blackpowder :)
