It depends on if your tang is predrilled for a tang sight, like most T/C's and the Lyman Great Plains Hunter

Then the hole spacing has to match the sight you're mounting

If not, a gunsmith will have to Drill and Tap the tang

Tang sights are great, IMHO. I had one on a percussion once; somehow I lost it and just never got another one.

I found the side setters like Lyman and Williams are an awkward ugly and unsightly block of steel that hangs on everything.
I took the Williams off three of mine and mounted the Pedersoli Ghost Ring instead.
They are not as easily adjustable as the Lyman or Williams but are a lot easier to live with.
After getting the initial windage and elevations worked out (adjustable for both) then the height of the ring is very easily adjustable for range.
I did drill out the ghosts on mine so I could fit a threaded peep sight into the hole. That makes it super easy to change from target to hunting.
