I think I've gone bonkers.:: Last week I bought a Bobcat in .50 and haven't even fired it. Today after a couple of weeks of looking I located a Crockett .32 and I'm going to get a postal money order for it. I still haven't popped my first cap. Got about enough of my tax refund left for a good dinner out with my wife and pay off an ambulance bill and maybe a tank of gas. I think I got my brain scrambled somehow.

10 Thumbs has graciously offered to take me out for a shooting lesson when some of the mud goes away.

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE PUT BLINDERS ON ME.

Better take her out before you think of the extras you might need (balls, patches, caps, lube, capper, powder horn, powder, hunting bag, etc., etc., etc.). Besides, a nice nice dinner will help soften the blow. You know she'll notice the increased expenditures

Retired at the end of Jan. o4. They took so much out of that plus my vacation pay I still ended up pretty good. When the income went down I was still ahead for a refund. That won't happen again. I wish nobody had mentioned the "extras". With gas prices being what they aare, there went my 30 gal. of gas. :(

Well, as I understand it, the whole purpose of the tax cuts was to spur the economy through consumer spending. Therefore, your purchases are something akin to a patriotic act. I'm thinking of doing my part too.

That' where you've been a benevolent citizen and given good ol' Uncle Sam an interest free loan for the year using YOUR money that you had overdrawn.

My intelligent friends always remind me of that, but the return does allow me feel like your getting a gift that you can blow on a new gun. ::
