Oops...In the video I say this gun is made by Uberti, but it is actually made by Pietta. My apologies. In 1865, with the civilian market for big bore swamped with surplus Civil War handguns, Remington developed a pocket-sized .31 caliber revolver for the concealed carry market. Today Taylor's & Company in Winchester, Virginia offers a replica of this little pistol, made by Pietta in Italy. In this video I'll put it through its paces in both cap & ball mode, and with the optional cartridge conversion cylinder chambered for .32 S&W cartridges.

Love to watch your video reviews. I've been eyeing these little pocket guns for maybe my next BP gun. Thanks for the review!

Way cool! (Just the young members can hear it used in a real life :haha:) Watching someone load a percussion revolver reminded me of a friend who I help out at the muzzleloading station in a bi-annual event sponsored by the state through the Parks & Wildlife Dept. Anyway, we let the kids shoot rifles and handguns and Charley always tells them the reason gunfights happened at high noon was that it took all morning to load up!! :rotf:

I have one of those little buggers. Mine is in brass. I keep it nice and shiny but what work to get it that way after using it. I use it mostly for my civil war reenacting in a shoulder holster.
This months issue of "Guns of the Old West" they are also giving a written review of the pistol. So if you get the mag you can save it.
I got mine from my son who needed cash to pay a couple of monthly car insurance. He didn't like to use it. He felt like it was a fire cracker going off in his hand every time he fired it.
I have a ball with it.

Had a little brass Remmie 30 years ago. Couldn't hit a barn from the hay loft with it. Swapped it off for something with a long barrel.

Had one of those when I first started out 25 years ago as a farb, hollywood, Civil War reenactor, eventually sold it.
