I recently purchased a older TC Hawken kit gun
I noticed that the rear sight was loose.
I took the elevation screw out and thought the top portion of sight would lift off the base ..
It will not , do I have to remove the hinge roll pin , to get the sight apart to tighten the base screws ?

Yes you have to remove the roll pin. If the sight's already loose be careful not shear the screws off when trying to tap the pin out.
