Does anyone have success in repairing a Thompson center crack around the lock screw (opposite side from lock) ? I know TC is known for cracking here and have read lots of suggestions. But not read anything from a successful repair.

Every one I've ever repaired was 'successful' and usually involved nothing more than some Titebond 2 glue and clamping. For bad cracks, besides the glue drill through the crack and pin together with bamboo skewers/brass screws/threaded rod/etc etc. coated with the same Titebond 2

go to your local Chinese restaurant grab some food and ask for some chopsticks they make great repair pins split to size but are lousy to eat with compared to a fork. tooth picks work for thin area cracks a good glue is the key

bubba.50 gives great advice here. I've repaired many a crack in wood with nothing more than Titebond and a toothpick or bamboo skewer. It's a great fix for mis-drilled hole in guitars too.
God bless, and good luck:

Good idea.
If you grew up using chopsticks, I'm sure you'd have a different opinion. Those guys can really make them work.

I've got a TC with that same crack. I've been thinking I needed to do the TC fix for the problem - a long tang screw through to the trigger guard. Haven't done it yet - still working up the nerve to drill that cock-eyed threaded hole in the guard.

You can buy a pack of 1/8"??? Bamboo skewers in the housewares section of any supermarket for about 2 bucks. There's always a bunch of them in my kitchen cupboards.
God bless:

I'm with on the "nerve" issue
