TC locks flint cap interchange

I looking at a nice TC that has a cap lock in it
just wondering if the flint and cap locks are interchangeable i was told one removes the drum and put in a vent liner and change the lock is all one needs todo
and as the TOTW catalog says one may need to deepen the mortis to use the replacement lock just wondering

I don't know for sure but as far as I know the cap and flint locks will fit without any modification but you will need to convert the barrel. Some others will know for sure and let you know before long I'm sure.

I do not know if they all will fit the same but I have a flintlock lock and barrel that I have switched to several stocks and have not personally had any problems with fit.

The TC locks will interchange, ”¦.............. most likely.
There are some minor differences as with all wood products that are mass produced and subject to temperature and humidity.
The L&R replacement lock requires some work to make it fit. It is a little more than you might expect from the instructions. The best method being a drill pres with a Fostner bit although I suppose a person could use a pocket knife!
The barrels are a different story. While the barrels themselves will interchange, they are not easily converted from cap to flint or vice verse. As a matter of fact, it is impossible for the average guy with common household tools. The solution is two separate barrels.
