I have a buddy that has a TC Patriot Pistol and is wondering the value of it. I have looked a bit online at the auction sites and have found the price to be all over the map. What would you say would be an accurate value to place on one of these if you were selling one?

Thanks for the help.

P.S. - This is not a for sale ad.

The Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Arms, Fifth Edition (copyright 2007), lists the 100% condition value as $240 and the 90% condition value as $135. (Page 178)

However, as you have found out, prices can be all over the map. 'Accuracy' when it comes to market prices is a meaningless concept. The gun is literally worth what you would accept for it and what someone else would pay. The BB is only a guide - it doesn't 'establish' prices.

I have seen 3 of them this past year for sale locally at trade shows and rondy's. some from vendors and 1 froma private individual. All were used and in 60-75% condition wear wise. the cheapest was 435, didnt make it 24 hours.1 at 475 and the last at 550, the 550 went home at the end of the trade show.
fwiw

Like others said, they just keep going up, since TC no longer makes them. Most go for at least $250 on up. If it is a .36 cal. even more, at least another $100 more, because they are even harder to find then the .45's. But they are good shooters.

If Claude wll let the site stay up i will be :rotf: to watch the price go nut's the last day I say "IF" cause Im not sure of rules BUT it would in my mind a good idea to show just how good THIS site for selling is for selling your stuff than most/ if not all the other's. Someone may corect me here But I sold one unfired on here a few months back for 500, I got offers for more than that but I had locked in my price for what I"I" would let a member have it for ( he could of got it for less that was his openning bid/well really with him picking it up he asked "whats it going to take for me to buy it and I shot my mouth offr saying 500 and he was happy as can be. ish I had bought the other 3 for 125 less than 2 years before. :shocked2: In these old gun shops you really got to talk "how neat old black powder guns are if the owners are over 70 or so, they most likely have a few hidden back. f :hatsoff: red
