,,,roundball is the T/C "go too" man with experiance,,that feller knows T/C well,,(no diss-respect intended Bill),,I might not like t/c but others doo, if you need help with t/c ask or pm roundball,,,I gotta say he knows them guns!
 
yes yes ...yes yes and yes there all the same i had a firestorm and wanted to convert it to cap so i took a lock from my pa hunter carbine and a drum thingy from dixie and it worked just fine note just dont tell t/c cause they frown on stuff like that
 
when i first had my T/C hawken flintlock....i called T/C to ask them if i bought there same 15/16" .50 perc barrel and lock whould they give me a warrantie with a ser# on the perc barrel so i had lifetime on that set up also and they said sure....well that dropped my chin to the ground...............................bob
 
Yes, TC had two different size locks...a smallish one for the Seneca & Cherokee, etc...and the current production size for everything else.
The smaller ones have long been discontinued and they only have the single current production size...comes in blue and stainless...interchangeable with Hawkens and Renegades, and all other sidelock models made since the Seneca & Cherokee.

NOTE: On early style Hawken/Renegade stocks, the inletting operation was different for a percussion lock and a flint lock, so some slight 'internal' wood adjustments are needed to drop a flint lock asm into an early style percussion stock...then in recent years, they went to a generic inletting operation so both locks just drop straight in the same mortice
