does anyone know what the hammer screw size is on the tc Seneca .36cal.??
my screw wore out and allowed the hammer to cock sidewise and the edge of the cup hit the nipple and broke out a chunk.

I ordered the screw from classic firearms and it's supposed to be in my hands on Monday.
I needed to know the screw thread size but when I get the screw I can use a gauge to determine that.
they don't give any of that away for sure.

I checked out the site gunpartscorp.com and they listed the hammer at a reasonable price but were out of stock. $29 for a Seneca hammer.

AFAIK, pretty much every muzzleloading parts vendor has been "out of stock" on most Cherokee/Patriot/Seneca parts for at least 15 years now. :idunno:

Oddly, Ebay seems over run with T/C Hawken stuff. Looks like they take the guns apart and sell the stock & lock together and the barrel separately to get around Ebay's idiotic rules... "guns, oh horrors!" One guy had a 'pile of parts' for $30 but it's hard to tell just what all's in said 'pile'!

still waiting for the senica hammer screw to arrive so out of curiosity I tried the hammer screw out of my TC Hawken .50 in the seneca and it fits. should have tried that fit sooner.
