i have only one Flint TC to reference. My bushing appears to be larger than the ones i see sold as replacements.Did the early ones have a bigger busing or was it possibly re-tapped and replaced?

T/C's original liner had a screwdriver slot.
In the 90's T/C started using a redesigned/improved liner that uses a hex wrench.
It has a larger(faster) hole of .070" compared to their original screwdiver slot type liner with a much smaller(slower) sized hole.

If you mean that your existing vent has a hole larger than the hole in T/C's redesigned hex wrench liner, then it would seem its not a stock T/C liner and/or has been reworked by someone.

If you're unsure, a safe bet would be to buy replacements directly from T/C Customer Service to at least ensure you're getting the real deal in your hands for future reference...

bushing its self is larger and screwdriver slot style.

Have you taken it out to see what the actual thread size is? Mine are 1/4 x 28 thread but have a sort of thin flange at the top (outside) that makes it look bigger than it is. I use the RMC liners in mine and seem to get better ignition.

That's the old style liner for sure...can't tell for certain from the photo if someone tried to drill it out larger or not.
Every used barrel I bought that had that old style liner in it, I replaced them with the redesigned / faster hex liners...(2 in a blister pac for $4-$5 bucks)
