Finally got my plates, springs and screws for my TC's the other day.Wow did the drill press jig set up work well.Perfect the first time.Only trouble I had was getting the right location and angle for the trigger guard.Had to open up the plate hole a little and it worked fine.Next one I do I will drill with the tap drill and use the stock as a guide to start the hole into the guard. Then open the stock and tang holes to the bigger sizes they need. Thanks to Roundball for setting me straight on the position of the new spring it is a little tricky but when you figure it out it really is easy to do.I believe I could have made my old plates work by drilling a new hole and eliminating the sping/crimp.I have a template now and will mess with it later to see.I think the spring will still slip right on..Thanks again who helped me out, what a better feeling it is to wind these tang bolt screws down now instead of worrying about the wood giving out.. .Ray
