So the lockdown has gotten to fall back in love with bp. I have a new to me Lyman deer stalker and am hoping you guys can tell me about it a bit—

loads, need upgrades, stuff like that. I
Plan to hunt with it here in MN and on the lease in Wi as our muzzleloader seasons are looooooong

to
Guys who have hunted it is the shorter barrel
A
Distance killer?

That should be a good hunting rifle for you. With the 24 inch barrel, easy to maneuver in the stand or blind. 1/48 twist barrel is good for round balls or conicals.
I have a Traditions deerhunter rifle, also with the 24 inch barrel. Mine is light weight and easy to carry around in the woods. I personally don't shoot much beyond 50 yards. My longest shot on a deer was about 90 yards.
