This is the finished product, I’ll probably make more. These measurs are the same diameter cane. When I cut the cane I had to come up with a way to plug the hollow hole, this also allowed for more of a way to adjust my measurements as far as powder measurement selection. I used a ramrod to take up the hollow end on on the shorter measure.. pinned it and epoxied in place, then I bent some bailing wire around in circle heated it red hot and quenched to harden. For the longer measure, I used a smaller diameter piece of cane to plug the hole. And then a bolt to plug that hole and drilled a hole in the bolt for the round wire. I pinned in the smaller cane as well as the bolt and stained using fieblings dark brown leather dye. The density of the cane made a streaking effect in which I find rather attractive. The longer one throws 90grains the smaller throws 70. I’m also going to make a shot measure for my fowler as well. Again thanks to the two fellas who donated the cane!
