Please take warning :bull:  I was just unpacking my trailer from the Alafia Rend. All was going great and my tarps were out in the sun bleaching out along with my boxes and tools. :results: Well, just as I had the trailer empty and gettng ready to put it all back....no one told me it was going to rain.... RAIN BAYBERRYS AND ROBBIN DODO!!

I was in my little trailer when I started hearing what sounded like rain or heavy rocks. Looked out....no rain...but thousands of little black berries were coming down.....and it was coming down on my tarps, gear and clean blankets. I hate Robbins...I hate trying to get all my stuff under cover I hate :curse: :curse: Bird [censored]. :what: :imo:

Never decide to clean out your trailer under a Bayberry tree and never do it on a sunny day when all the birds in town decide to :shocking:migrate to my backyard.
:RO:

Oh!... :hmm: I did try to scare them with noise and screaming. Didnn't work. But the picture of Musketman helped.    They seem to hate scarecrows :results:

So - That's where all our robins have gone! They're all sittin' in your Bayberry Tree!
Well, that's the price you have to pay for havin' SUN all year 'round! :haha:

BTW - is that a Holly trailer? They used to make 'em right here in Holly, Michigan.

It is a HOlley Trailer. The 9th. one I have build to hold my STUFF :: :what: It is a lawn trailer that is 6 by 4 by 4 that I enclosed to keep my camp materials safe. Yea...sure..just not bird proof. Will have to repaint all the white sides and top. Now it is speckeled or splattered bird dodo.

Even I got hit by the flying debris..no pictures guys.

And I still hate Robins. :youcrazy: :youcrazy:

Sounds like you had a good time at the doin's until you got home and things turned to manure... :sorry:

Well, somebody had to say it! :peace:

What will you use to get the stains out?

Hey, Tipi, sorry to hear about the guano shower. During the 30 years I lived in the Sunshine State, I came to really hate Purple Grackles and the wild Parakeets for the Gawdawful noise they could generate and the Seagulls for the quantity of excrement they could produce as well as the enviable accuracy with which they could deliver it. That being said, I do sometimes miss the number and variety of birds I could view down there. But considering I get to see 100+ Pronghorns, a couple dozen deer, and pheasants virtually every day of the year as well as elk and moose any time I drive up the mountain, I feel it's a fair trade-off. That and NO TRAFFIC makes me a much happier dude.

BTW, what part of Jax are ya' from? I lived in four places in that town in the mid-70's and early 80's as well as spending a year in Middleburg. I still miss St. Augustine ...loved the Castillo de San Marcos. The big concave spots in the coquina walls where cannonballs had hit centuries ago were thought-provoking.

I live in the Old Arlington area.....I call my place a "Paradise in the Slums". Wish I lived in Wyoming, Montana or Idaho. Love it out there. But right now the cold snow will get to me.....or I just like Hurricanes more. Yea....right. As for the "stuff" on my canvas and blankets :nono:  I will carefully wash the blankets and then use a mixture of lemmon juice/salt on the canvas to get the worst  :results:mess out. Rewater proof some of the tarps. Then let the sun do the rest.

That's 'cus you put up a picture of me in my skivvies, that would scare anything "slap to death"...

Except ol' Linder there, she touched the picture of me, so she has to be immune to such queasiness...

That is exactly how I felt yesterday. You captured me in my fully "Sheaty" glory. If I spell it correctly...I know I will get the "censored" sign.:nono: :nono:
AND i STILL HATE ROBBINS

Think of robins and bayberries as a period correct, natural dye for external use...

There-u-go...

it could have been worse...you could be in New Jersey where the non-migrating Canada geese have settled...the old thing about being glad elephants don't fly, has real meaning, 'cause geese do...Hank

I got caught in one of those Sh1testorms when I was a teenager. It was in Lower Coast Algiers, Louisiana lasted about twenty minutes. BTW, did you know robins are good to eat? Takes about half a dozen good size ones.

Just :m2c:
